An introduction to me, my education journey, and current teaching practice & aspirations.
As I begin my eighth PME course through Queen's, a different feeling comes along with it. I'm in the last half of my higher education journey - something I have aspired to engage in for as long as I can remember! I have completed all of my "required" courses as of now, and am finishing with some "electives", PME 810 being one of them. Despite completing the required courses in my concentration, there is a renewed sense of freedom to learn when I can simply choose what I'm currently interested in based on my professional practice! I selected PME 810 due to the connections it emphasizes on planning, instruction, and assessment practices, and also because of a recent shift in my career and revision in our provincial curriculum.
Please view my introduction video to get to know me a little bit more. Wow, what a challenge to keep everything to 5 minutes. I have really enjoyed "meeting" everyone so far through their videos. I think video components are such a great connection piece for an online course. Looking forward to learning from you all during PME 810!
